Barb’s Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad

This creamy broccoli-cauliflower salad with bacon, red onion, and sunflower seeds can be prepared the day prior to serving, then served chilled or at room temperature.

Ingredients

  • 12 slices bacon
  • 1 head cauliflower, chopped
  • 1 head fresh broccoli, diced
  • ¾ cup sunflower seeds
  • ½ red onion, diced
  • 1 cup creamy salad dressing
  • 1 ½ tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup white sugar

Steps

  1. Gather all ingredients.
  2. Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels; crumble.
  3. Combine bacon, cauliflower, broccoli, sunflower seeds, and onion in a large bowl.
  4. Whisk salad dressing, sugar, and vinegar together until blended. Pour over cauliflower mixture and toss to coat. Refrigerate and allow to chill before serving.
